Zine Fest Workshop at jerico!

Join David Birkam for a live tutorial in using Scribus for zine layout.

Free and open source, Scribus is a PC/Mac/Linux alternative to Adobe InDesign. Scribus allows for the creation of complex and simple documents through robust typography and image controls. In this workshop David will demonstrate Scribus by walking through the creation of a 2 page zine. A how-to zine about Scribus will be available to participants along with the demonstration.

Bio – David Birkam is a photographer working with analog processes. He publishes photographs and writings through zines. Paper and film hold a tangible meaning rendered together through his advocacy of open design software.

We will meet in the Jerico Workshop Room, located in the North Jerico building. Please park by Fiddle Leaf Cafe, and enter around the back of the building through the double grey doors.
