Join us Saturday, February 5th from 10am-noon for a Seed Swap at Start Here Coffee.
While it's snowing and cold, we plan our gardens and begin starting seeds indoors. A packet of seeds is usually too full for a single gardener, so why not share! Bring seeds, tubers, scionwood, plant starts, or cuttings to gift to your fellow budding or seasoned gardener. You don’t have to bring anything in order to participate in the swap - there is zero obligation to bring anything but yourself! This is a masked event. No sales, trades, or bartering - all items are FREE!
How it works:
Bring your seeds, starts, etc. and any additional information (photos, seed catalogs...) that you'd like to share and a shopping bag to take any items you “shop” home.
We encourage locally saved, open-pollinated, heirloom or organic seed varieties.
Please label all items with as much information as possible including the common name, latin name (if known), the year the seeds were saved or purchased and where/who grew them.
Acceptable Items to Swap:
+ Veggie, fruit, grain, and flower seeds
+ Plant starts, cuttings, scionwood
+ Gently used gardening tools (pots,
shears, gloves, etc.)
+ Gardening books/zines/resources
Not accepting at this time:
+ Broken tools, hardware, junk
