Floss + Reiki Reset: A benefit for The Care Collective of SWMI hosted by Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis
Join us for a unique movement session benefiting the Care Collective of Southwest Michigan, led by Emma Patrick (@nourishedtotheroots). Emma has 12 years of experience in movement facilitation, holds an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, and is a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor in the Santa Barbara, CA area. Originally from Southwest Michigan, we are excited to welcome her to the KBY studio with this special offering for our community.
This session combines active and restorative movements to help reorganize your body’s fascia. By “flossing” the fascia, we support the tissues that help our bodies change from the inside out. You’ll explore unique shapes that encourage self-exploration and tune into your body’s subtle sensations.
Afterward, relax deeply with the healing energy of Reiki and soothing sounds, aiming to rebalance your energy. Please note that forms of touch are involved in the Reiki practice, so by attending, you consent to this touch. This practice will support the heart and digestive system. Please wear comfortable clothing.
This event is a fundraiser for the Care Collective of Southwest Michigan (@carecollectiveswmi). Cost of entry is $40 plus a product for our drive to collect menstrual products and diapers for the Kalamazoo community. Ticket sales also help to support a monetary donation to the Care Collective.Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level.
Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis exists to build community, foster well-being, and provide an equitable space for those most often left out of yoga. Celebrating all bodies. You are good.
